I am a legitimate oatmeal cookie monster... I just counted, as well as January 2018, I have shared 47 oatmeal cookie recipes along with you. Eep! Have you ever tried any of them yet? (? You can find all my oatmeal cookie recipes right there!) They're a few of the most popular recipes in my blog because they taste really sweet and comfy, just like traditional"indulgent" oatmeal cookie recipes, but they contain no refined sugar or bread!

That means you're going to start with whole wheat flour (or gluten free, if you would like ) and instant oats (such as these... or those for a gluten-free version!) . Instant oats are smaller and thinner than traditional rolled oats, also you can locate them at canisters right next to those old-fashioned oats at the grocery store.

I probably sound like a broken record by now... But cause I ? you and also need your cookies to turn out totally plump and soft, I am reminding you again... Quantify your yogurt and bread properly, using this technique or even a kitchen scale! (? That is the one I have and enjoy. A lot of either ingredient will make your biscuits taste cakey or sterile, rather than chewy. This is especially true of the oats--that they behave like little sponges and soak up lots of moisture from the cookie dough!

Ripe bananas- ideal for baking! Really like all of @amybakeshealthy's yummy & healthier banana recipes!

See these bananas? And all of those brown spots? If it comes to baking bananas, brown = beautiful! I ? extra speckly bananas cause they have so much bright, bold taste --and also additional sweetness! That's the minimum number of brown which I suggest. More is better!

The remainder of the cookie dough's sweetness comes in another natural ingredient... Pure maple syrup (like that!) . You desire the kind that comes straight from maple trees, which is typically offered in sparse glass bottles or squat, round plastic jugs. Skip the pancake syrup and sugar-free syrup!

The peppers include even you could try this out more natural sweetness! The recently purchased, additional plump, perfectly delicate ones are perfect... But for those who have elderly, slightly dried out raisins (hmm... it seems absurd to explain dried fruit as dried out! ) , that is fine!

Only add them to a microwave-safe bowland pour water on top till they're fully covered. Seal plastic wrap over the surface, and then microwave the bowl on high for 1 minute. If you allow the peppers sit while mixing together the cookie dough, then this small hint hydrates them so they're exceptionally succulent --and that makes a big difference in these cookies as soon as they're baked!

Yields: 15 biscuits

These oatmeal cookies are tender, chewy, and full of banana flavor! The familiar comfy spices and plump blueberries make these much more irresistible. They will keep for at least one week if kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator--should they last long!

1 cup (100g) instant oats (fermented if needed and quantified like this)

3/4 cup (90g) whole wheat or gluten-free* flour (quantified like that )

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter or olive oil, melted and cooled slightly

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup (120mL) pure maple syrup

In a medium bowlwhisk together the oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add the flour mixture, stirring just until incorporated.

Preheat the oven to 325°F, and line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.

With a spoon and spatula, dip the cookie dough to 15 curved scoops onto the prepared sheet, and flatten to the desired thickness and width using Oh She Glows 15 Best Vegan Cookie Recipes! a spatula. Bake in 325°F for 10-12 minutes.

Notes: It is extremely important to measure both the oats and flour properly utilizing this method or even a kitchen scale. (? That's exactly the one I own and love!) Too much of either would dry out the biscuits and leave them cakey instead of chewy.

Instant oats are also known as quick-cooking or moment oats. They are available in massive canisters, just like old-fashioned oats. They are not the ones at the tiny flavored packets of oatmeal. To create your own, include the same quantity of traditional yogurt into a food processor, and pulse 10-12 days or until the oats will be approximately 1/4 into ? of their original size.

For the gluten-free flour, I suggest the following mix: 1/2 cup (60g) millet flour, 2 tablespoons (15g) tapioca flour, two tbsp (15g) brown rice flour, and 1/2 tsp xanthan gum. Most store-bought gluten-free flour blends (like this one!) Will also do the job, if quantified like this.

If your raisins are old, dryer, and not so plump or juicy... Add them into a microwave-safe bowl, and put water on top until they're totally coated. Seal plastic wrap over the surface, and microwave the bowl on high for 1 second. Should you allow the peppers sit mixing together the cookie dough, then this small trick hydrates them so they're really tender and succulent!
